There are two different settings at character creation that determine what Core Keeper Gameplay happens to your player character at death. You can choose one where you’ll lose the character if they die and have to create a new one. Or, you can opt to have the same character respawn.

That might mean having to gather more resources just to fight your way back in and recover your property.
